Content

The central focus in Studio B is to increase the student's understanding of their own artistic actions and the consequences of their choices. The keyword of the course is "You". The course emphasizes discussion and interaction with peers, as well as making and thinking about art. Personal artistic viewpoints and conceptual ways of thinking are deepened, through longer assignments that emphasize choices informed by an awareness of the communicative role of art.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

Exercises on perception and experience, that include critical reflection on both. Assignments given by the teacher. Supervised task-based working and an independent assignment. Critiques, and discussions. Exercises using varying techniques (individual and group working). Assessment criteria. Student's personal development, active participation in class, and the ability to absorb and benefit from the instruction.
