CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD
Content

This is a learning by doing course. Students will be given a challenge to solve by using the service design approach and methods. The challenge will focus on finding a new application of technology in a specific moment in people's lives.
Students will work in multidisciplinary teams, mixing students from different schools, skills, demographics, degrees and interests. Every week we will use different perspectives:
Week 1. Human perspective
Week 2. Technology perspective
Week 3. Business perspective
Week 4. Final presentation
Assessment Methods and Criteria
valid for whole curriculum period:
Individual participation in contact teaching sessions and contribution to group work, 80% attendance mandatory. Group assignments, in-class exercises and final presentation.

Registration in Sisu. In order to have multidisciplinary student groups, the selection is based on the variety of students' disciplines from different programs and schools of Aalto University. Registration order is not the primary selection criteria for this course. Master's students are also welcome.
