On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Discuss VR topics using correct terminology.
  2. Put VR related phenomena into historical perspective.
  3. Analyze VR applications and technology from multiple perspectives.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    The purpose of the course is to serve as a foundation for more advanced VR courses. The topics covered will be:

    • Virtual Reality related basic terminology
    • Most common VR technologies, such as display and input devices, and how they relate to human physiology
    • Case examples from creative and industrial contexts
    • Guest lectures

Assessment Methods and Criteria

  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    Attending lectures, discussions, independent study, exam. The exam is graded 0-5 and decides the grade.

    Minimum 80% attendance.
