    Time to learn the basics of Virtual Reality! This fall the course will again be given online by Markku Reunanen and Tapio "Tassu" Takala – check your email for the Zoom link before the 1st session. The lectures will be on Wednesdays at 9:15–12. Here's the tentative schedule:

    • Sep 6: Kickoff, basic terminology and concepts, history of VR (Markku)
    • Sep 13: Display devices and human vision (Tassu)
    • Sep 20: Tracking methods (Markku)
    • Sep 27: Interaction in VR (Tassu)
    • Oct 4: Spatial audio (Nils Meyer-Kahlen), optional spatial audio demo at 13:00. Go straight to Otakaari 5A main entrance.
    • Oct 11: Simulator sickness, wrapping up, instructions for the exam (Markku)


    If you were looking for DOM-E5161 – Introduction to Virtual Reality, this course replaces that. The contents are the same, there's just a new code.
