Please note!
The course consists of common lectures on Monday afternoons and hands-on programming teaching and exercises on Thursday and Friday mornings! The course has two groups in SISU:- Beginner - This one is aimed for students who are beginners in programming, taught by Matti Niinimäki. This group uses JavaScript as the programming language and p5.js as the creative coding framework. We also take a brief look at a couple of other tools such as TouchDesigner and Unreal Engine.
- Advanced -
This one is aimed for students who already understand the basic
concepts of programming and want to study some more advanced concepts,
taught by Markku Reunanen. This group uses Java as the programming language and Processing as the creative coding framework.
You can choose the group when you register for the course but it's still possible to update your choice during the first week. There is also an Independent Study option for completing the course.

We are planning to change the October 2nd Monday lecture into a visit to the Ryoji Ikeda exhibition.
https://amosrex.fi/en/exhibitions/ryoji-ikeda/
In order to book the tickets in advance, I would need to know how many of you are able join. It's OK if you do not want to come (there are lots of flashing and strobing lights). You can also go see the exhibition on your own time (but you have to get your own ticket).

If you had indicated that you want to show your work during the exhibition, we need to know a little bit about how your work can be exhibited. How much space it needs? Is it interactive? Do you need a computer or some other equipment to run it? What other requirements are there?
This exhibition will have work from the Computational Art and Design course as well as the Physical Computing course. There are two spaces: LQ Lobby in Väre and the main lobby in the Learning Centre. We have a space booking for the spaces from November 30 to December 15. You can setup your work at any point before December 8. You should also be there to take down your work on Friday, December 15 at 15:00. If you cannot be there, make sure you coordinate to have someone to take your work down.

Submit a plan here that answers these questions:
- How much space your work ideally needs? If we don't have that much space, can it be shown in a more compact way?
- Is it a video file or is it something that runs in real-time?
- Is there some interaction?
- List of equipment you need?
- Any other requirements
- If you can, please also provide a sketch/drawing of how the work would/should look like in the exhibition space.
- Beginner - This one is aimed for students who are beginners in programming, taught by Matti Niinimäki. This group uses JavaScript as the programming language and p5.js as the creative coding framework. We also take a brief look at a couple of other tools such as TouchDesigner and Unreal Engine.
