Students learn how to do a market and business environment analysis for internationalizing technology based businesses, how to analyze and adjust product and service offerings according to targeted markets and how to make a market entry plan leveraging the opportunities of the geographical and increasingly digital business environments.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD
Content

Theory base of a firm and ecosystem level growth process, internationalization models and processes. The course project work is done in small entrepreneurial teams and involves creating analyses of markets and competitive environments, optimizing product and service based offerings, and developing a real go-to-market plan for real-life operating firms. At the end of the course each team presents results to the class as well as to a panel including teaching personnel, company representatives and domain experts.

This is a 4 ECTS course. The expected student work hours required are as follows: Lectures: 15h, group assignments and individual work: 93h, total 108h. Group assignments are based on real business cases and students are expected to work in teams.
