Enrolment options

Please note! Course description is confirmed for two academic years, which means that in general, e.g. Learning outcomes, assessment methods and key content stays unchanged. However, via course syllabus, it is possible to specify or change the course execution in each realization of the course, such as how the contact sessions are organized, assessment methods weighted or materials used.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

After completing the course the students are able to:

• Represent a vibrating structure with an elementary mass spring damping system
• Solve a structural dynamic problem with numerical and analytical model
• Combine the elementary vibration system for multi-body complex system
• Analyse the vibration of an electric generator driven by a thermal engine
• Evaluate the fault diagnosis in electric machine from the analysis of the vibration frequency
• Compute the force and stress in electric machine from harmonic model
• Employ Comsol multiphysics to analyze vibration in electric machines
