Second Article analysis (individual)
Completion requirements
Due: Thursday, 1 October 2020, 12:00 PM
Length: 2 pages, 1,5 margin, 12 font Times New Roman
1. Choose an article that triggers your interest
•The article should be published in a high-quality journal (prefer Journal of Consumer Research and Journal of Consumer Psychology) and its topic should relate to one topic covered in this course (consumer culture or psychology).
2. Review article’s key points:
•What is the research objective?
•How is the research gap formulated (review of past literature)?
•What methods are used? Do you think they are accurate?
•Key findings and theoretical contribution
•Managerial/ business relevance (even though all journals do not list these, try to identify them yourself)
You can choose to focus on 1-2 things you find particularly interesting, and dig deeper into analyzing them. You don't have to list everything (for example if the authors made multiple experiments you can overall state what methodology they used, and then reflect on a deeper level on the things you find most interesting or challenging). Remember, the point of this article is to test how well you are able to read academic articles and identify their key points, but also how you reflect, analyze and formulate your opinions based on what you have read.
