Written Project Plan (1 per team)
Completion requirements
Due: Monday, 28 September 2020, 10:00 PM
Meet up with the entire team to create the following project plan. You should cover all topics listed below, not more than 5 pages, 1.5 spacing, font 11. Please think of this as a practical exercise for planning your real work, and consider it as something (perhaps in a shorter form) with the company to set out your plan. We know you will have (many) uncertainties at this stage in the project and this can be great opportunity to define those!
Your team's project management plan should include the following:
- Report on what you have already discussed with your project's company representative(s) and possible other stakeholders
- Define the needs of the company and their expectations for your project
- Define goals and deliverables
- What are the goals of the project? Prioritize them into deliverables. Explain what those goals are and how you will achieve them, by breaking them down into deliverables.
- Create a schedule
- What tasks need to be completed in order to produce each deliverable? Who is responsible for completing each task? What resources are being allocated to each task?
- Complete a risk assessment
- What issues do you know will effect your project? What unexpected circumstances could cause problems?
- How logistics (tasks) will be decided?
- Explain briefly how your team keeps in contact, what software you are using to communicate, and the decisions why this aids your project. You can refer to your team contracts in this section to illustrate your logistical decisions.
- You have a budget of €300 for an excursion. Define and breakdown your budget, if you are planning an excursion. You can use this material for the excursion application.
