In the starting assignment, you will apply digital research methods to explore the online public discourse on symptom and contact tracing apps. You can choose Finnish apps (eg. Omaolo or Koronavilkku) or an app from another country context. Choose one digital media platform (Twitter, Facebook pages, Wikipedia, online news, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok) and look out for a data collection tool that fits your purposes. Collect a small sample of data and analyze the data in order to find out what kind of public discourses are attached to the symptom/ contact tracing app in question.

Presentation guidelines:
- Work in a pair or group of three.
- If you have trouble with finding a group, please contact the teaching staff.
- You will present your results during the lecture on the 29th of March. Each group will have 10 minutes.
- Explain your case (app, country context, platform)
- Explain where and how you collected your data
- Describe which method/tool you used for your data collection
- Clarify which method you used for your analysis
- Provide some preliminary findings
Submission guidelines:
- Please submit your results here before 14:30 on the 29th of March. The format of the submission is free, it can be PowerPoint slides, PDF or a screenshot from Miro.
- Each member of the group needs to submit the same file.
- Please, name the file in the following format: "Surname1_Surname2_Surname3_Assignment1".
