Here you will find the lecture VIDEOS. Some Panopto videos contain quizzes (4-8 questions per video, possibly divided into two quizzes), which you can answer to check your learning. The questions concern the preceding video content. Click continue after the quiz so that the video proceeds properly to the end.

Navigate to the next lecture topic using the table of contents on the right, or by clicking the gray arrows on top of each section (note that there might be 2 separate videos on some of the lecture topics).

New lecture from March 21, 2024:

NOTE: The microphone of the speaker was not properly unmuted for the first part of the lecture. The voice is thus recorded from the room mics - AV support corrected the voice levels as much as was possible. As the voice of the guest speaker sounds a little odd, you might want to listen to the original recording with raising the volume. It is provided after the audiofix video.

9. Challenges with big data

Panopto had some tech issues in the middle of the lecture. and it seems that a large part of the video was not recorded (I contacted the AV support again to see if they can find the missing part, as Panopto web interface claimed to be recording after the tech issue). Unfortunately, also the raw file in the teacher computer was a partial recording.
However, you might want to see the full recording of the same lecture from spring 2023 instead (slight updates have been made to the 2024 lecture, especially regarding the LDA topic modelling example in the slides).
