- If you have completed all other studies except the thesis, you can apply for graduation in Sisu with the same deadline as you submitted your thesis. Instructions on how to apply for graduation when the thesis has not been registered yet in Sisu here. Further instructions regarding the graduation process can be found on the Aalto Student Guide masters programme pages.
- If you submitted a graduation request, please give feedback on your studies in Aalto by answering a TEK Graduate Survey here. The survey is conducted by Aalto University School of Science and the Academic Engineers and Architects in Finland (TEK) and it is an opportunity for new graduates to give feedback on their studies.
- LES conducts an administrative check on your thesis.
- Your supervisor will then evaluate and grade the thesis, and the Degree Programme Committee (DPC) will evaluate and approve the master's theses. Please check the DPC meeting times here.
- Following the DPC meeting, the final grade will be marked on MyStudies and theses will be registered in Sisu. You can view the final grade from Sisu ja MyStudies and download the evaluation statement from MyStudies. Additionally, you will receive an email to your aalto.fi email address containing the final grade, statement, and instructions on how to appeal the thesis grade decision. Your thesis will be archived in AaltoDoc.
- Approximately 1-2 weeks after the DPC meeting: If you requested graduation at the same time you submitted your thesis, the possible graduation request will be registered in Sisu.
- After your thesis has been approved and your degree is registered in Sisu, you will receive an e-mail with information about graduation and receiving your degree certificate, a link to the TEK Graduate Survey, and an invitation to participate in the Graduation Party.
