Topic outline

  • For the first eight assignments, we organize one Q&A session and three exercise sessions. Please see the course schedule for more details.

The Q&A session is held in person, usually on Fridays at 10:15. The session starts with a brief introduction of the assignment by one of the course teachers. After the presentation, students can ask questions about the assignment or in general about the topic of the last lecture.

There are three exercise sessions for each assignment 1-8. During the exercise sessions you can get help with the assignments from the teachers of the course. One of the teachers can look at the problem that you are experiencing and try to give advice (what we call one-to-one assistance).

In order to get one-to-one assistance, please post your detailed question in channel #queue in Slack. During exercise sessions, one of the course teachers will contact you by sending a direct message. The requests will be processed in the order they are posted in the #queue. When the request is taken by one of the teachers, the message in the #queue is marked with a mark ✅ sign. Once the question is resolved, your message will be deleted from the #queue channel.

Please keep in mind that one-to-one assistance is possible only during exercise sessions. Please do not post assistance requests outside the exercise time slots, as they will be deleted. We have this policy to make sure that nobody can reserve place from queue before the session starts.
