    Assessment criteria

    • Assessment scale: Pass/Fail. To pass the course, all assignments have to be accepted.

    Intended Learning Outcomes: 

    After this course, you will be able to:

    • understand your role as a teacher in the diverse learners' learning process in different situations
    • identify the opportunities provided by the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Self-Determination Theory (SDT) as pedagogical approaches and apply these principles to your teaching
    • design accessible teaching materials

    • equity, diversity, and inclusion principles and practices in higher education and at Aalto University 
    • evidence-based teaching approaches to support the learning of a wide range of learners: Universal Design for Learning & Self-Determination Theory
    • digital accessibility of teaching and learning materials
